TRANSPORT ENGINEERING

The following scope of work and services can be done for analysing a (voyage specific) transport operation. All results are documented in comprehensive reports for each individual operation.

Analyzing metocean data. This includes obtaining environmental conditions from global hindcast databases such as ERA5 (ECMWF), NOAA WaveWatch or commercial services.
Perform calculations regarding motion response (seakeeping) analysis. This includes obtaining vessel specific and site specific workability and operability limits for a set of predefined criteria.
Performing structural analysis on seafastened structures.
Performing mooring analysis during load out.
Perform bollard pull calculations.
- Determine the tugboat requirements and/or number of tugboats to perform a tow for given environmental condition in both holding and sailing requirements.
- Determine the conditions under which the operation can be carried out (including factors such as environmental conditions, sailing speed).
- Obtain towline (minimum breaking loads) and ship infrastructure (shackles) requirements.
