SOFTWARE
The following software packages are available to be used in the mentioned services. Depending on the analysis or methodology, multiple programs are able to handle the problem. We carefully select and use the software that is best suited to solve your problem within the most efficient way possible.
OrcaFlex
OrcaFlex is the worlds leading package for the dynamic analysis of offshore marine systems, renowned for its breadth of technical capability and user friendliness. OrcaFlex also has the unique capability in its class to be used as a library, allowing a host of automation possibilities and ready integration into 3rd party software.
General Hydrostatic (GHS)
GHS is widely used for both intact stability and damage stability analysis, including probabilistic damage stability. It can simulate flooding, shifting cargo, and other factors to determine the stability of a vessel.
Ansys AQWA
Ansys Aqwa is a BEM-based software for analyzing the hydrodynamic performance of offshore and marine structures, such as ships, FPSOs, and renewable energy platforms. It calculates wave, wind, and current loads and responses, supporting analyses like diffraction, radiation, and sea-keeping. Key capabilities include frequency and time-domain simulations, coupled mooring analysis, and detailed outputs like motion RAOs and pressure maps, enabling engineers to optimize designs for various sea conditions.
IWRAP MK2
IWRAP is a modeling tool useful for maritime risk assessment. Using IWRAP you can estimate the frequency of collisions and groundings in a given waterway based on information about traffic volume/composition, route geometry and bathymetry.
aNySIM Pro
aNySIM Pro (aNySIM XMF) is a time domain software that simulates the motions of both stationary offshore vessels and sailing ships. aNySIM computes the motions of these vessels resulting from non-linear hydrodynamic and mechanical loading. The modular structure of aNySIM XMF makes it easy to combine different functionalities. In this way, you can model simple to complex configurations. Using aNySIM XMF, engineers can analyse and optimise their designs for Operability (such as mooring performance, heavy lift operations, dynamic positioning, at terminals, on-board safety and comfort), Manoeuvring and sailing performance, and Safety and survivability in harsh weather. Available upon project lease.
QSHIP (SEACAL + OPCAL)
QSHIP offers a hydrodynamic suite for seakeeping calculations and workability. The hydrodynamic suite contains (depending on the selected version) two potential flow methods; the strip theory code SHIPMO and the panel code SEACAL. QSHIP calculates the motions of a ship in waves. Based on this, QSHIP can calculate the downtime based on exceedance of user-defined criteria like accelerations or seasickness levels. Available upon project lease.
OPTIMOOR
OPTIMOOR is an easy-to-use mooring analysis computer program for use by vessel and terminal personnel as well as by port designers and naval architects. It is based on the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) recommendations and procedures and includes OCIMF wind and current coefficients for tanker and gas carrier (prismatic / moss) vessels.
